CONSULTANT NEUROPSYCHIATRIST 6 MONTH MINIMUM CONTRACT YORK Competitive hourly/daily rate Greys are working in collaboration with our client who are seeking an experienced Consultant Neuropsychiatrist to lead and develop specialist psychiatry provision within our neurorehabilitation hospital. This is a key leadership role working within a community-based, bio-psycho-social model, supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries and associated neuropsychiatric conditions. The postholder will provide expert clinical input during stabilisation, oversee psychiatric care, and work closely within a multidisciplinary team to support recovery-focused outcomes. Essential Criteria – Consultant Neuropsychiatrist MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise GMC Specialist Register inclusion Approved Clinician and Section 12 approved Excellent clinical knowledge and skills in neuropsychiatry Skilled in using a bio-psycho-social approach Strong oral and written communication in English Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty Experience in making evidence-based decisions Able to meet duties under Mental Health Act (MHA) and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Proficient IT skills (Outlook, MS Office, internet navigation) Ability to teach and train undergraduate and postgraduate learners Experience in clinical leadership and working within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion Demonstrated participation in CPD, clinical audit, and service improvement Holds a valid UK driving licence or alternative travel plans Willingness to travel and stay overnight for operational needs Greys is a Specialist Recruitment Company who works with some of the UK’s leading organisations within the Healthcare industry.
