Senior Occupational Therapist
Permanent | Full time role based in Preston.
Salary: £40,000 per annum.
Our well established client are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent basis.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of service users in their care.
- Undertake comprehensive assessment of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.
- Promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice reviewing and making suggestions to enhance the service users’ experience and enabling concerns and complaints to be raised freely by service users and their representatives.
- Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals and volunteers in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision.
- Be responsible for raising the awareness of the team regarding clinical governance and clinical risk issues and for implementing clinical governance policies, standards, and guidelines
Qualifications & Experience:
- HCPC registered.
- BSC in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience of working in a relevant setting.
- Skilled knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning.
- Ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to occupational performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
