Newcastle upon Tyne | Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a British Sign Language (BSL) qualified Independent Living Support Worker to join a specialist supported living service in Newcastle upon Tyne.
You will support young adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to live independently, access their community, develop relationships and achieve their personal goals. The role includes supporting with daily living activities, community access, personal care and promoting independence.
Essential Requirements:
- BSL Level 1 qualification or above (essential)
- Right to work in the UK
- Passion for supporting people with complex needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Experience:
- Autism and learning disabilities
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge
- Dysphagia awareness
