Overview:
We are seeking a U.K.-based Solutions Manager to join our dynamic Solutions Engineering & Design team. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in shaping next-generation automation solutions for order fulfillment and warehouse operations by leveraging the full breadth of the GreyOrange technology suite. You will play a key role in supporting our North American commercial teams, collaborating closely with customers, system integrators, 3PL partners, and internal teams across hardware, software, and product development. A strong background in data analytics, solution design, supply chain, warehouse automation & operations, and experience within retail and eCommerce verticals is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Act as a subject matter expert in aligning customer operations and business needs with GreyOrange’s automation and software solutions
- Lead site visits, discovery workshops, and customer-facing presentations throughout the pre-sales and solutioning process
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Solution Design, Delivery, and Customer Success teams to craft tailored, high-impact solutions
- Prepare accurate and timely deliverables for sales pursuits, including data analysis, AutoCAD layouts, solution modeling, BOMs, and proposal materials
- Collect and analyze customer data to inform solution design; translate data insights into clear visualizations to guide stakeholders
- Apply MOST methodologies to create engineered labor standards and productivity targets based on GreyOrange technologies
- Develop and deliver simulation models to validate proposed solutions and ensure alignment with customer KPIs
- Use industry-specific knowledge to build compelling business cases and ROI models tailored to verticals such as retail, e-commerce, and grocery
Post Sales/ Implementation:
- To work with Implementation teams to ensure the solution realizes the intended business case by meeting the layout, storage, throughput, and productivity gain requirements
- To interface with product teams for custom solutions
- To prepare documentation on Functional Requirements and Integration Design requirements, and to hand over documents to internal teams to get the product delivered
- To identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for a project and to make sure KPIs are met during the Go-Live period, and get sign off
Other Responsibilities:
- To be able to manage junior solution analysts and develop them to be solution architects of the future
- Partner with Product Management and R&D to influence future solution offerings, tools, and technology roadmaps based on market feedback and customer needs
- Creating work product templates, implementation approaches/ frameworks, and tools so that time to create solutions can be reduced, easy to onboard new solution architects, and train/develop solution analysts
- Represent GreyOrange at trade shows and industry events, providing thought leadership in key market verticals
Requirements:
- BE/ B-Tech degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain. Masters preferred
- 7-12 years of experience as a solutions manager, industrial engineering manager, solutions consultant to support pre-sales/post-sales in leading companies in Warehouse automation/ consulting/ solution sales
- Strong Technical Understanding and Analytical Skills
- A good understanding of Warehousing Operations & Automation is a must
- Proven ability to influence technical CXO-level decisions
- Strong process optimization experience
- SCM understanding
- Strong Presentation, Documentation & Communication skills
- Growth in this role is to become a senior solution architect/ enterprise architect that can manage and develop a team of solution architects.
