Admissions & Attendance Manager

The Admissions & Attendance Manager leads the school's admissions and transition processes, ensuring professional support for families and regular attendance.

Job Details

  • Reporting to: Assistant Head Teacher (Raising Standards)
  • Salary Range: Grade 8 Point 18-23 FTE £31,537 per annum (Pro Rata)
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Working Pattern: 37 hours a week. Term Time Only plus two weeks
  • Disclosure Level: Enhanced DBS

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of the school's admissions process, including in‑year admissions, Fair Access, managed moves and permanent exclusions.
  • Develop and oversee personalised transition programmes for new students, especially those with SEND, safeguarding concerns or other vulnerabilities.
  • Liaise with primary, secondary and alternative providers, local authorities and external agencies to support successful transitions.
  • Coordinate induction meetings, transition visits, orientation and welcome programmes for families.
  • Maintain accurate admissions and attendance records, ensuring statutory compliance and timely documentation.
  • Act as the principal point of contact for prospective families throughout the admissions journey.
  • Support the attendance strategy, monitor patterns for newly admitted and vulnerable students, contribute to intervention meetings and work with families to remove barriers.
  • Ensure safeguarding requirements are fully integrated into admissions, transition and attendance processes.
  • Represent the school professionally with external agencies, stakeholders and the wider community.
  • Uphold the Catholic ethos of the school, maintain confidentiality and professional integrity.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Additional Duties

  • Continue personal development as agreed.
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health & safety, data protection and confidentiality.
  • Support the school in meeting its legal worship requirements.
  • Assist in risk assessments where appropriate.
