This central London home has 3 housekeepers and is in need of a travelling butler to accompany the principal on her worldwide travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in caring for fine arts, antiques, silverware (large collection of silver needs to be polished, organised according to the owner's specific instructions), glassware, china, tapestry/luxury fabrics.
  • Prepare and serve light meals, such as green juice, California breakfast, tea, coffee, healthy snacks, protein drinks.
  • Assist the principal if there are meetings in the home.
  • Food shopping at specific stores and run other errands for the family.
  • Greet guests and visitors with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Work with the housekeeping team in the property, but may be required to tidy up bedrooms or communal areas in specific situations.
  • May be required to iron or steam outfits in specific situations.
  • Packing and unpacking (training provided for specific family requirements).
  • Dog care (feeding, walks, vet appointments).
  • Organise fresh flowers.
  • Other household shopping orders and stock control.
  • Household inventory.
  • Expertise in caring for haute couture and luxurious clothes and shoes.
  • Oversee the work of outside contractors, service providers, and suppliers to the household.
  • Train overseas staff.
  • Travel abroad with the principal.
  • Be able to work different shifts; flexibility is very important.
  • Maintain a can-do attitude and common sense at its highest.
  • Team player.
  • Driving licence ideal.

Salary and Schedule:

  • Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 GPA.
  • London hours: Monday - Friday; when travelling, flexible hours will be needed.
