An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and energetic Housekeeper/Cook to join a busy but welcoming family of five (three children aged 8–12) at their beautiful coastal estate near Southampton. You will work alongside a small household team, so a friendly, team-focused approach is essential. The family also has four dogs (Labradors and Dachshunds), cats, horses, and peacocks, so you must be comfortable around animals. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, highly organised, and discreet, with extensive experience in similar private household roles. You should be confident in the kitchen, able to assist with cooking. A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are required (although other vehicles will be available for work use). Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, can-do attitude are key, along with being comfortable around children and dogs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping to a high standard, including care of delicate items and fine furnishings
- Laundry, ironing, and fabric care
- Household provisioning and organisation
- Assisting with cooking
- Occasional informal dinner party catering (up to 8–10 guests)
- Dog care and support
Start dates: 16th April to 20th April, 1st May to 3rd May, 4th June to 8th June, 27th June to 28th June.
Hours: approx. 10 hours per day with break during the day
Accommodation: Private 1.5-bedroom flat provided, all bills included (walking distance)
Salary: £20 - £25 gross per hour, depending on experience
