Greycoat Lumley’s client is seeking an Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant who is highly driven and AI-curious to support their CEO in the centre of Edinburgh. This role is as big as you want to make it. You aren't just managing calendars; you are helping shape and facilitate how the company operates and leverage time across the company. You will manage a complex blend of the CEO’s personal and professional life, serving as the ultimate go-to person to ensure his day-to-day runs seamlessly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen and eager who is looking for a stepping stone. For the right person, this role offers a unique pathway to grow within the company and be part of the journey shaping it.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Time & Operations Management: You will ruthlessly manage the CEO's diary and inbox. This means ensuring his time is spent on the highest-impact activities, and crucially, jumping onto the calendar out of hours to resolve urgent conflicts.
- Total Ownership & Initiative: Work on your own initiative. Act as a force multiplier for the CEO. Anticipate needs, flag critical items, and drive operational execution without waiting to be told what to do. You will act as the central point of coordination, leveraging internal stakeholders to get things done efficiently and effectively.
- Personal Logistics: Manage the personal side of the CEO’s life. This includes handling complex international travel and visas, coordinating personal meetings.
- Flexible Availability: While this is a full-time, in-office role, the nature of supporting a CEO means flexibility is required. You must be reachable and ready to act when urgent matters arise on evenings or weekends (though this is not the standard every day).
Key Skillset
- High Agency & Ownership: You have a high degree of ownership and a strong work ethic. You are a self-starter who figures things out and works on your own initiative.
- Concise & Direct: You communicate clearly and concisely. There are no surprises when speaking with the CEO; you appreciate and can match a straightforward, transparent working style.
- AI-Curious: You have a genuine knowledge of and interest in AI.
- Personable & Driven: You are fun, personable, keen, and eager to learn. You possess the maturity and drive to handle significant responsibility.
- Adaptable: You thrive in ambiguity and do not require rigid corporate structures to succeed.
