A private family based in Chelsea, represented by Greycoat Lumleys, is seeking an experienced Private Cook to join their household on a self-employed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, healthy, family-style meals for a household of four: two adults, a 4-year-old child, and a 1-year-old child.

Requirements

  • Classically trained chef, ideally Le Cordon Bleu trained
  • Strong experience working in private households or similar high-end environments
  • Ability to prepare a wide range of cuisines
  • Excellent understanding of healthy, balanced nutrition for adults and young children
  • No pork or onions used in cooking

Duties Include

  • Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Cooking dinner in advance for reheating on Tuesdays–Saturdays
  • Menu planning and creating weekly meal ideas
  • Food shopping and sourcing quality ingredients
  • Preparing fresh juices, smoothies, and fruit platters
  • Serving meals and setting the table
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Schedule

Tuesday–Saturday 6:30am–2:30pm, 40 hours per week

Travel

There will be occasional international travel required, including approximately 2–3 weeks per year in the South of France (including a planned trip in July).

Salary

£60,000 gross per annum (self-employed basis)
