Overview
Part-time College Nurse role at a boarding school located in South Kensington, Central London. The school houses approximately 70 boarders from various nationalities. This role shapes the medical provision for boarding and day pupils in the College.
Working 5 mornings per week from 8:00am to 12:30pm. The College Nurse must be a registered nurse with clinical experience in education or emergency care.
The Role
- Provision of a triage function and treatment to all students
- Provision of general workshops on mental health, smoking cessation, substance abuse and sexual health
- Organising and coordinating clinical services for the college
- Undertake medical checks for all boarders
- Support and manage boarders with long term health conditions
- Contribute to the drafting of college medical policies
- Liaise with local medical and dental services
- Provision of advice on prescribed and over the counter medication
You / Requirements
- A fully qualified and registered nurse with clinical experience in education or emergency care
- Ability to relate to international students
- Ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care and keep detailed records
- Personable and professional communication skills
- Good IT Skills
- Excellent Listening Skills
