Our client is looking for a couple (Gardener & Housekeeper) with previous experience in a household to take on a role looking after a 6 bedroom property near Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The property has been fully renovated within the last 5 years and is home to a retired couple and a small well-behaved dog.

The couple themselves are informal and are looking for a couple who are professional, discreet, who can manage their own time and be proactive. The role for the Gardener / Handyman will be part-time 24 hours over 3 days per week and the Housekeeper role would be for 12 hours per week over 2 days.

The house itself has 6 bedrooms, reception rooms, cinema room and indoor pool. The property is set in 4-5 acres of grounds which are a mix of formal and informal garden as well as a paddock area.

Duties will include:

  • Hands on cleaning of the house, changing the beds, looking after the bed linen
  • Hands on gardening - needs to be someone with good gardening skills and plant knowledge as the role will be more than just maintenance gardening.
  • Use and care of garden machinery
  • General property maintenance and basic DIY
  • Household security / house sitting and occasional dog sitting
  • Occasional driving and looking after the household cars

Accommodation offered is a separate 2 bed cottage. Bills paid by the employer. Own garden. Furnished or unfurnished. £30,000 GPA+
