This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a warm and welcoming family based in Maidenhead. The family live in a six-bedroom house with an annex (three bedrooms currently in use) and are looking for a reliable, experienced, and child-friendly Housekeeper to join their household. The family have one young daughter who attends nursery two days a week and are expecting a new baby in the coming months. They also have a friendly working cocker spaniel, so you must be comfortable around dogs. Cooking would be a bonus for this role. There will be a Nanny working there full-time. The position would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is highly organised, and enjoys maintaining a family home to a high standard. You should also be a confident driver, as you will occasionally need to drive the child to and from nursery.
Responsibilities:
- Daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general tidying
- Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing
- Managing household organisation and ensuring the home is always neat and welcoming
- Light pet care, including feeding and short walks for the family’s cocker spaniel
- Liaising with the family to ensure the smooth running of the household
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a private household as a Housekeeper
- Confident driver with a full UK driving licence (car provided for work use)
- Comfortable caring for babies and young children
- Trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently
- Child-friendly and dog-friendly
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Excellent references
Start Date: When the right person is found
Hours: 8 hours per day, 3 days per week
