A private household is seeking an experienced and highly organised Travelling Chef to oversee all aspects of daily meal preparation.
The successful candidate will create fresh, seasonal, nutritious menus and deliver breakfast, lunch and dinner service for the principals and guests.
The role is based in South Kensington with regular travel, particularly during periods spent in Ibiza.
The chef will be comfortable working in a small kitchen environment while maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Produce fresh, seasonal and ingredient-led menus
- Source high-quality produce from trusted suppliers and local markets
- Bake or procure fresh pastries for breakfast service
- Manage all kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering and food storage
- Entertaining
- Prepare and execute dinner parties and informal entertaining
- Increased entertaining expected during periods in Ibiza
- Catering for up to 16 guests
- Work collaboratively with two additional household team members who assist during larger events
- Deliver restaurant-quality food and presentation for both formal and informal occasions
- Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Private Chef, Travelling Chef or Yacht/Villa Chef
- Strong knowledge of seasonal ingredients and modern healthy cooking
- Passion for fresh produce, pastries and high-quality ingredients
- Confident cooking a wide range of cuisines
- Experience catering for both family-style dining and larger guest events
- Highly organised, discreet and professional
- Flexible and willing to travel regularly
- Able to work efficiently within a compact kitchen space
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
