A busy professional mum is seeking a reliable, proactive Part-Time House Manager/Cook to support the smooth running of a family home shared with two teenage daughters (present every other week). The role combines household management, light administrative support, and family meal preparation. This position offers some flexibility; while a portion of duties must be done in person, certain tasks can be completed remotely. On the weeks when the girls are at home, the successful candidate will prepare a home-cooked family dinner to be served around 6.30pm.
- Household Management
- Manage and coordinate other household support, including cleaners and handymen.
- Keep all household areas tidy and organised.
- Handle household deliveries (receiving, unpacking, storing).
- Maintain household subscriptions and inventories for cleaning products and essentials.
- Monitor and manage household bills, utilities, and renewals.
- Source and obtain quotes from contractors when needed.
- Run household errands (returns, post office etc.).
- Water and maintain indoor plants.
- Occasional dog walking or pet sitting as required.
- Prepare home-cooked family dinners every other week (when the girls are home).
- Batch-cook and keep the freezer stocked with simple, nutritious meals (e.g., chilli, Bolognese, soups).
- Plan and carry out food shopping.
- Change and wash bedsheets in preparation for the cleaner to iron.
- Keep laundry running consistently.
