This is a wonderful opportunity for a Gardener, who will be working in the community gardens of Mansion flats. There are gardens, tennis and children's play courts. This is a lovely community, so the person will become a familiar and everyday presence in their open space area. They are now looking for a new person to take this job on since the last long-term Gardener retired.
Some of the duties are:
- Full care & maintenance of flowers, shrubs, trees, lawns, hedges and so forth
- Applying grass fertiliser to grassed areas
- Sweeping tennis and play courts of all debris
- Checking gravel paths for emerging weeds and spraying with acetic acid (vinegar)
- Hoeing if necessary and removing debris
- Planting of Spring bulbs to allow establishment
- Pruning, weeding & mowing
- General grass cutting and seasonal hedge cutting in these gardens
- Clearing of Autumnal leaves and removal to compost areas
- Supporting ad hoc project work
Start: May - July 2026
Working week: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 gross per annum, depending on experience and/or qualifications.
Driving: not essential.
