This lovely, busy, semi-formal family home is looking for an excellent, hands-on Head Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeper to join their household in Kensington. This is a 6-storey, 6-bedroom house. The family consists of a couple and their three young children. They employ two rotational Nannies as well as a full-time Housekeeper/Cook and a part-time Cleaner, who works three full days a week. The Head Housekeeper will share all housekeeping duties with the two other Housekeepers and also be responsible for ensuring that they, as a team, keep the house looking clean, tidy, and beautifully presented.
Duties to include:
- Housekeeping to a very high standard
- Managing the part-time Cleaner and allocating tasks to the Housekeeper/Cook
- Bed making
- Packing and unpacking
- Creating and implementing systems where needed to ensure the smooth running of the home
- Laundry and ironing
- Liaising with contractors
- Coordinate deliveries
- Run errands
- Reporting to EA
- Occasional simple cooking when Housekeeper/Cook is away
- Setting the table and serving at dinner parties
- Front of house Housekeeping - meet and greet guests
- Keep track and stock of cleaning supplies
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working at a high standard and have an excellent eye for detail. The position requires an individual who is confident in leading a small team and working by example to maintain the highest of standards. You will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude.
House: 6 bedrooms, 6 floors
Accommodation for a live-in candidate: Self-contained flat within the house with a separate entrance
Days and Hours for live-in candidate: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, 7am - 6pm; Saturday and Sunday, 8.30am - 7.30pm with an hour lunch break. Days off Wednesday, Thursday.
Start date: When the right candidate is found
Salary: Β£48,000 - Β£50,000 + gross per annum
