A lovely new client is looking for a live-in housekeeper/cook for a beautiful property in Hertfordshire, near Potters Bar. You will be joining a well-established team and will work alongside the House Manager.
The property is divided, and your main housekeeping duties will be in the family quarters, while other areas will require general housekeeping maintenance. You will be responsible for preparing evening meals for the principal when he is in residence, which is typically once a month. The family, consisting of the principal, his partner, and their daughter, stays in the house about twice a year.
Duties to include:
- Housekeeping to a high standard
- Organisation of the home
- Occasional cooking when the family are in residence
- Laundry, ironing and fabric care
- Bed making
The ideal candidate will be a team player and have great attention to detail. The role requires someone who is experienced and is switched-on. The role requires someone who is flexible and when the family are in residence, it is all hands-on deck.
House: 4 floors with 10 bedrooms, the family quarters have 5.
Start date: As soon as the right candidate is found.
Working week: Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm, additional hours when the family are in residence.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 gross per annum.
Accommodation: A newly renovated apartment with a separate entrance, within the main property. Open to pets and partners with all bills included.
