Our client is looking for a Housekeeper to help them look after a busy family home in Cheadle, Staffordshire. They are happy to consider all options, both full-time and part-time, and can also offer accommodation if needed.
You will be looking after a large period property which is home to a busy couple who run their own business and their children. The owners are hands-on themselves and enjoy looking after their home and gardens, but as demands on their time increase, they are looking for some additional support at home.
They are flexible on the level of experience but do need someone who has worked within a private household before. Depending on the candidate and hours, duties would include:
- Hands-on cleaning
- Laundry
- Ironing
- Bathroom cleaning
- Bed making
- Tidying and keeping the kitchen clean
- General household admin and running errands
- Helping with occasional school runs
- Helping outside in the garden area immediately surrounding the property - basic weeding, planting and keeping the outside areas neat and tidy
Full-time and part-time considered, for example, 2/3 days per week or Monday to Friday. Accommodation could be offered if needed as there is a self-contained staff apartment within the main house with its own access. To start when they find the right candidate. Salary starting at around £30,000 gpa for full-time - open to negotiation depending on the overall package (accommodation), hours, and experience.
