A prestigious private residence in Mayfair is seeking an experienced and highly professional House Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the household and lead an established team. The current team includes three housekeepers, a Chef, a handyman/all-rounder, and a full security team. This position supports a private family with a portfolio of four international residences. The family maintains an active lifestyle across these properties throughout the year, requiring a senior-level professional who can ensure seamless operations, consistent service standards, and strong team coordination across all locations. While each property is well established, the primary base for this role is London. The household includes two dogs; a pet-friendly attitude is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing management of all household staff
- Maintain exceptional wardrobe management standards (a key requirement of the role)
- Manage household budgets in coordination with the family office
- Plan and manage staff rotas, ensuring alignment with the principals’ schedules
- Coordinate and oversee smooth transitions between residences, including advance preparation of each property prior to the family’s arrival
- Act as the primary liaison between the principals and the household team, ensuring clear communication and consistent service delivery
