A private businessman is seeking an experienced House Manager / Butler to oversee his newly refurbished residence in West London, with completion scheduled for March/April. This home has not been lived in yet so therefore there will be snagging to look over, inventories to set up and maintenance schedules to put in place. London is the principal residence; however, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to the South of France for approximately three months each summer. During this period, a local house manager will be in place, and the role will focus more heavily on traditional butler duties and formal service. The principal intends to employ a live-in housekeeper and a Chef and therefore, staff recruitment, management, and supervision will form a key part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full management of the West London residence
- Supervision and management of one housekeeper
- Recruitment of household staff as required
- Formal service and butler duties
- Oversight of contractors and household suppliers
- Household administration and record keeping
- Seasonal travel to the South of France (minimum 3 months)
Requirements:
