Location: Beautiful Private Farm – South Oxfordshire
A charming and varied role is available on a lovely private farm in South Oxfordshire. We are looking for a friendly, helpful and reliable individual to take on a combined position supporting an active and independent elderly gentleman who enjoys going to the races, and spending time with friends and family.
The role will include a mix of driving, general caretaking, house sitting and light support around the home and farm. The household is warm and welcoming, with a small, long-standing team — so being a good team player and fitting in well is just as important as experience.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, flexible position suited to someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in being helpful. Key aspects of the role include:
- Providing safe, punctual, and friendly driving services for the principal – often to local events, lunches, or to visit friends and family
- Supporting the general upkeep and security of the farm, working alongside the existing team, dog walking and providing occasional cover shutting up poultry
- Taking care of basic caretaking duties, such as light maintenance and keeping an eye on the property
- Overseeing contractors or tradespeople when needed
- Helping with light cooking or food prep on occasion
- Assisting with light shopping, carrying bags, and occasional errands
- Pitching in with whatever’s needed to help the household run smoothly
