An experienced, detail-driven Couple is required for a private household based in the Chester / Wrexham area. This is a full-time, permanent position working within a respectful and well-structured home alongside an Estate Manager & Head Gardener. You must be proactive, discreet, and take pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards across all areas of the home and grounds.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Daily and deep cleaning of all rooms and surfaces
- Laundry, ironing, and care of luxury and delicate garments
- Wardrobe organisation and packing/unpacking for travel
- Grocery shopping and dry-cleaning errands
- Occasional basic meal preparation
- Stock control and pantry/kitchen organisation
- Confident in the use of Word for household documentation
- Working closely with the Estate Manager and wider household team
- Occasional weekend support required
- General Maintenance Gardening assisting the Head Gardener
- Lawn care, planting, weeding, edging, strimming, pruning, hedge trimming
- Driving duties and maintenance of the household vehicles
- General property maintenance including basic DIY and reporting larger maintenance needs
- Jet washing and keeping outside areas clean and tidy
- Property security and overseeing trades and contractors
- Occasionally visiting the families property in London to check on and carry out maintenance tasks (staying overnight)
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in private households
- Trustworthy, discreet, and highly organised
- Comfortable working under an Estate Manager as part of a small team
- Flexible, proactive, and detail-focused
- Both must have clean UK driving licenses
- Enhanced DBS check and excellent references essential
This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a professional Couple seeking a stable, respectful, and well-run private household. Separate accommodation is offered on the estate – all bills paid by the employer - the accommodation can be offered as furnished or unfurnished depending on the candidates.
Full-time role normally Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week to include occasional weekend work. Flexibility will be needed for the driving duties (occasional early mornings / late nights).
28 days holiday (incl. bank holidays). Start as soon as the right couple is found. Salary starting at £70,000 GPA.
