A private family based in St John’s Wood is seeking a reliable and proactive Houseman / Household Assistant to support the House Manager with a variety of administrative and practical household tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong team player who can work alongside the existing household staff, including the House Manager, a team of Housekeepers, and a Security team. The household hosts lunches and guests, so the successful candidate will also assist with welcoming visitors and helping ensure guest arrivals run smoothly.

Key Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Assisting the House Manager with general household administration
  • Troubleshooting and resetting Wi-Fi or basic technology issues around the home
  • Managing and replying to emails when required
  • Placing and managing online orders for household supplies
  • Assisting with guest arrivals during lunches and other gatherings
  • Supporting the wider household team with day-to-day tasks as needed
