Grey Epoch is an energy trading firm expanding into advisory and sustainability consulting. We are building a consultancy platform focused on energy efficiency, decarbonisation, carbon strategy, and sustainability reporting for industrial clients. This is not a purely corporate ESG reporting role. We are looking for someone practical, commercially aware, technically strong, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment.

We are looking for an experienced Energy & Sustainability Consultant who can work directly with clients, deliver technically credible advice, and help build a high-quality consultancy offering from the ground up.

What You’ll Work On

You will help clients:

  • Improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Build practical net zero and decarbonisation roadmaps
  • Conduct carbon footprint and emissions analysis
  • Prepare sustainability and ESG related reporting
  • Evaluate energy transition investments and ROI
  • Navigate evolving UK and EU sustainability requirements
  • Develop actionable energy and carbon reduction strategies
Responsibilities
  • Deliver energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects
  • Conduct Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions analysis
  • Build net zero transition pathways
  • Support ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives
  • Prepare technical and executive level reports
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients
  • Support proposal writing and business development
  • Work collaboratively with trading, analytics, and commercial teams
Requirements
  • 7+ years’ experience in energy, sustainability, or climate consulting
  • Experience in working with Industrial clients
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting and ESG frameworks
  • Experience delivering client advisory projects
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GHG Protocol, CSRD, TCFD, CDP, ISSB, or SBTi
  • Strong analytical and commercial thinking
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate independently and manage client relationships
  • Familiarity with ISO 50001 or energy auditing standards
