Grey Epoch is an energy trading firm expanding into advisory and sustainability consulting. We are building a consultancy platform focused on energy efficiency, decarbonisation, carbon strategy, and sustainability reporting for industrial clients. This is not a purely corporate ESG reporting role. We are looking for someone practical, commercially aware, technically strong, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment.
You will help clients:
- Improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Build practical net zero and decarbonisation roadmaps
- Conduct carbon footprint and emissions analysis
- Prepare sustainability and ESG related reporting
- Evaluate energy transition investments and ROI
- Navigate evolving UK and EU sustainability requirements
- Develop actionable energy and carbon reduction strategies
Responsibilities:
- Deliver energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects
- Conduct Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions analysis
- Build net zero transition pathways
- Support ESG and sustainability reporting initiatives
- Prepare technical and executive level reports
- Present findings and recommendations to clients
- Support proposal writing and business development
- Work collaboratively with trading, analytics, and commercial teams
Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience in energy, sustainability, or climate consulting
- Experience in working with Industrial clients
- Strong understanding of carbon accounting and ESG frameworks
- Experience delivering client advisory projects
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as GHG Protocol, CSRD, TCFD, CDP, ISSB, or SBTi
- Strong analytical and commercial thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to operate independently and manage client relationships
- Familiarity with ISO 50001 or energy auditing standards
