Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship, support, communication and engagement with residents.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing and oral care.
- Promote mobility to help residents live as independently as possible.
- Plan and participate in social activities, trips out and other engagements in collaboration with the Activities Coordinator and care home management.
- Support and oversee medication administration and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation for all residents.
- Collaborate with other health and social care professionals.
- Hold line‑manager responsibilities for care and senior care assistants and, in the absence of the Deputy and Registered Manager, assume overall responsibility for the home.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 months of right to work in the UK.
- At least two years of experience in a social care environment.
- Qualified to QCF level 2 or above.
- Previous experience as a Care Team Leader or Senior in a care home.
- Experience with medication administration.
Employment details:
- 42 hours per week, including alternate weekend shifts.
- Main shift pattern: 07:45 am to 20:15 pm; flexible to work other shift patterns.
