Responsibilities:

  • Support the chef to create healthy and balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
  • Work as a team player, while being able to work independently when required and manage your time effectively.
  • Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents and contribute to a caring and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 months of right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential, preferably within a care home setting.
  • Prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH.
  • Caring, self-motivated, enthusiastic with the ability to show empathy to the needs of others.
  • Flexible to work on a bank basis as and when required.
