Overall Aim
To safely cut and portion poultry on a moving cone line or trim belt to the highest quality standards.
Main Tasks
- Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are always followed.
- Report any safety concerns immediately to your Line Leader or Manager.
- Maintain product quality in line with company standards and training provided by your trainer, line leader, or manager.
- Work as part of a small team of butchers on a moving cone line to achieve production targets.
- Manually lift, cut, and portion poultry in a physically demanding production environment.
- No horseplay will be tolerated; all employees must act responsibly at all times to prevent accidents.
- Use the correct tools, equipment, and PPE required for the role at all times.
- Follow company hygiene policies at all times.
- Ensure the work area is left clean and free from waste at the end of each shift.
- Clean and maintain gloves, aprons, and protective equipment daily.
- Take part in all training provided and apply it positively in the workplace.
- Report any hazards or potential risks immediately to a supervisor or manager.
- Report all accidents immediately, no matter how small, and complete the required accident report form.
- Ensure all doors are closed when not in use.
- Ensure ear protection is clean, safe, and worn at all times in production areas.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 16:30. During the Christmas period, 6-day working weeks may be required. Occasional weekend work may also be required throughout the year.
