We are looking for a Transport Planning Assistant to join our transport team.

Purpose

To assist and support the Transport Planning Manager with planning and organising daily transport, helping the business meet its day-to-day requirements. Provide general support to the Transport Planning Manager as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning daily deliveries and collections
  • Booking and managing transport jobs
  • Working with drivers, hauliers and internal teams
  • Dealing with day-to-day issues and helping resolve them
  • Supporting the transport team with daily tasks

You Will Also

  • Help plan for busy periods
  • Support coordination and organisation of the company bus fleet
  • Manage and track PPS stock levels
  • Make sure deliveries and collections are completed on time
  • Prepare and organise driver paperwork
  • Keep documents and records well organised
  • Check supplier invoices against transport jobs and flag any issues
  • Keep records up to date
  • Support compliance tasks when needed
  • Look for simple ways to improve costs and efficiency

Working Hours

Training Period 06:00 – 14:30
After Training Period 09:00 – 17:30
During Busy Periods (mid-November To End Of December) Longer shifts may be required up to 10 hours. Up to 6 days per week.
