Shift: 4 on 4 off (Day Shift / Night Shift)

Report to: Group Chilled Goods Warehouse Manager & Dispatch Manager

Direct reports: Dispatch Operatives

Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Dispatch department at Redgrave.

To manage dispatch staff in a positive, professional manner, ensuring they are motivated, informed and working as efficiently as possible in accordance with working procedures.

Liaise with Sales and Factory Manager regarding daily orders.

Ensure orders are picked accurately on time and are correctly documented.

Check products are correctly dated.

Check products are at correct temperature.

Check that quality of the products to be dispatched meets the required standard. Report any problems regarding quality of any product to Factory Manager & Technical Manager.

Responsible for ensuring all chill and cold stores are clean and tidy throughout the day.

Check daily stock on chilled and frozen products.

Ensure that goods in are correctly documented.

Ensure that returns to production are correctly documented.

Contribute ideas on ways to improve productivity, cost reduction and despatch of product to the customer.

Identify and deliver the on-the-job training required for dispatch staff; liaise with Chilled Warehouse Manager regarding other training needs.

Promote safe work activities by conducting meetings with team members.

Maintain all aspects of company policy (as per the Company Handbook).

Any other duties required connected with poultry processing.
