Overview

To maintain the required high standards of cleaning throughout the factory, ensuring a safe, clean, hygienic working environment.

Responsibilities

  • To clear all meat, offal, and fat from machines to a high hygienic standard.
  • To pressure wash, pad and/or degrease all production machinery, floor, and wall areas.
  • Remove any other debris from production areas ensuring all floor areas are thoroughly clean.
  • Ensure all waste is disposed of in the correct bins and skips.
  • Ensure all machinery is switched off and isolated before any cleaning work is commenced.
  • To become adaptable to be able to clean any department of the factory to the required high standard.
  • Assist other members of the night hygiene team as needed to ensure a thorough clean is completed.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be required connected with cleaning processes.
  • Undertake chemical training during 3-month induction program.
  • Ensure any chemicals you may use are stored correctly with lids fitted when not in use.
  • Report any problems especially any health and safety issues to your supervisor.
  • To undertake any other duties that may be required connected with poultry production.
  • To help drive continuous food safety and hygiene.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Night shift
  • Hours: 20:30pm – 05:00am (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary: £12.70 per hour (probation period), £13.05 per hour (after completion of probation), £4.00 night bonus per night.
  • Reporting: Night Hygiene Supervisor

Requirements

  • Previous experience an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided, own transport is essential.
  • As part of the Gressingham team you will have the opportunity to take part in our training programme delivered through an external partnership with a training provider.
