Job Responsibilities and Requirements
As an Assistant Line Leader, your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Motivating and supervising a team of operatives to achieve required production volumes at specified quality standards and minimum cost.
- Monitoring production efficiency using SIC boards and KPI information.
- Ensuring hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained throughout your department.
- Monitoring labour costs across operational areas and implementing improvements.
- Ensuring a consistent flow of production data for KPI reports in conjunction with the Production Manager.
- Reviewing production methods to improve efficiency.
- Monitoring waste levels and implementing measures to reduce waste.
- Setting up machinery daily to maximize effectiveness.
- Collaborating with Personnel Manager/Training Officer to develop training programs and identify potential for advancement.
- Maintaining production control procedures in line with company, customer, and FSA standards.
- Supervising health & safety functions within the department.
Key qualities and skills include:
