Reporting to: Agricultural Technical Manager
Location: East Anglia based with office space available at either our Redgrave, Debach or Weston offices dependent on candidates’ location – Travel expected as part of the role
Overall aim of the Job: To support the Agricultural Technical manager; providing technical support to producers, ensuring sites are managed in accordance with company policies, assurance standards and customer requirements. To ensure compliance whilst driving performance and promoting poultry health and welfare.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling poultry farm assurance inspections and supporting producers with compliance.
- Undertaking regular farm visits across the East of England and the Midlands.
- Supporting producers and aiding in the practical application of required standards.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current animal welfare legislation, production standards and systems of multiple poultry species.
- Ensuring producers are kept informed of, and are implementing, changes in policies, assurance standards and other requirements.
- Reviewing and updating company farming policies and procedures.
- Collating and reporting farm performance data according to customer requirements.
- Management of internal auditing system, ensuring conformance and driving continual improvement.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Good IT skills
- Well organised
- Previous hands-on experience in poultry production and management, or a similar role, is desirable.
- Full driving licence

Good to know: Gressingham has its own dedicated training department, along with a Company Training Development Manager who can support you in identifying any training needs.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, additional hours may be required at busy times during the year and these additional hours will be a condition of your salary.
Working Times: Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, primarily working 08:30am – 17:00pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Due to the nature of the role there may be some required changes to these working times and these will be discussed and agreed in advance between you and your manager.
Salary: £34,000 per annum
