Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Report any safety concerns immediately to your Line Leader or Manager.
  • Maintain product quality in line with company standards and training provided by your trainer, line leader, or manager.
  • Work as part of a small team of butchers on a moving cone line to achieve production targets.
  • Manually lift, cut, and portion poultry in a physically demanding production environment.
  • No horseplay will be tolerated; all employees must act responsibly at all times to prevent accidents.
  • Use the correct tools, equipment, and PPE required for the role at all times.
  • Follow company hygiene policies at all times.
  • Ensure the work area is left clean and free from waste at the end of each shift.
  • Clean and maintain gloves, aprons, and protective equipment daily.
  • Take part in all training provided and apply it positively in the workplace.
  • Report any hazards or potential risks immediately to a supervisor or manager.
  • Report all accidents immediately, no matter how small, and complete the required accident report form.
  • Ensure all doors are closed when not in use.
  • Ensure ear protection is clean, safe, and worn at all times in production areas.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role is required; however, full training will be provided for the right candidates.

Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 16:30. During the Christmas period, 6-day working weeks may be required.
