Overview

We are currently recruiting for an individual with grounds/gardens maintenance experience to join the dedicated grounds team within the Estates department.

At Gresham\’s we offer a rare opportunity where children can join us at our Nursery and Pre-Prep School from the age of 2 and continue with their education at our Prep and Senior Schools to the age of 18. Founded in 1555 and located in the heart of North Norfolk, Gresham\’s is a thriving co-educational school set across 300 acres of countryside, just minutes from award-winning beaches and areas of natural beauty.

We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Estates department for a Groundsperson to join the team of experienced and dedicated grounds staff. The successful candidate will undertake a wide variety of grounds and gardening activities relating to lawns, hedge and verge cutting, maintenance and planting/stocking of flower beds including tubs and planters around the school site (including indoor plants) as well as pitch maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds and gardens maintenance including lawns, hedge and verge cutting, and planting/stocking of flower beds, tubs and planters around the school site (including indoor plants).
• Carry out pitch maintenance as required.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain high standards of appearance and safety.
• Work effectively on own initiative and communicate well within a school environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Grounds/gardens maintenance experience.
• Hardworking and committed with the ability to work outside in all weather.
• Ability to work on own initiative and maintain high standards; good communication skills within a school environment.
