Reporting to the Headmaster and accountable to the Board of Governors, the Bursar is the School's most senior operational leader.
A key strategic partner to the Headmaster and Governors, the postholder will lead finance, HR, estates, IT, commercial operations, catering and compliance and risk management, ensuring the long‑term sustainability and success of the School.
Leading a team of approximately 140 support staff, the Bursar will play a central role in delivering the School's strategic ambitions.
This includes supporting one of the most significant developments in the School's recent history: the creation of the new Dyson Campus and relocation of the Prep School in 2027.
The successful candidate will bring senior leadership experience in a complex organisation of comparable scale, together with strong financial, commercial and operational expertise.
While experience within the independent school sector is welcomed, applications are encouraged from exceptional leaders across education, charity, public and commercial sectors who can demonstrate strategic vision, sound judgement and an inclusive leadership style.
