Gresham Technologies is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director for its Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Suite to drive significant revenue growth in the Midwest. This individual should be an energetic and client-focused individual with experience in the financial services industry. It is imperative that you be viewed by clients as a credible advisor and consultant as well as a business development executive. As a sales representative, you should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Able to operate independently, with strong communication skills are also essential for this position.

You will work closely with pre-sales, sales management, commercial strategy and product to create compelling value propositions. Your ability to understand client challenges and translate them into actionable solutions will be critical to your success. You will also be expected to focus on client retention and farming of existing clients. We sell market-leading platforms that continue to revolutionise the data management space with great products, sophisticated services, data and world-class implementations. Our target market is the buy side, sell side and increasingly Private Markets (Private Equity, Direct Lending, Real Estate, Venture/Growth, FOF and Institutional Investors).

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive expected value out of new business target region/market across the Midwest
  • Identify and qualify prospects via targeted networking, internal Sales Development Resources, regional leadership initiatives, existing client relationships, phone prospecting, and email
  • Continually develop new prospects to build and manage a sustainable pipeline of opportunities
  • Identify the prospect buying behaviour and orient our proven sales process for the prospect to drive the prospect toward a decision
  • Uncover key components of value for the various prospect stakeholders to drive ‘Why’ the prospect is interested in our solutions and then demonstrate how we are able to solve the prospect’s business issues
  • Work closely with our Pre-Sales Engineers team to demonstrate the business case, facilitate information gathering and match that to the prospects needs through multiple in-person, social and professional engagements
  • Collaborate across all teams (services, training, support, and product)
  • This role is a hunter with responsibility for new business and client upsells across our financial services clients. The sales team is a fast-paced, highly collaborative and results-driven group. We are looking for an experienced sales specialist who is passionate about customer relationships and strategic selling.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a sales specialist focusing on new customer acquisition
  • Experience and connections in the MidWest market are essential
  • Experienced Data Management / Managed Services / Enterprise Solutions Sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for consultative-selling techniques
  • Ability to manage complex sales and client negotiations
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Team player and willing to progress in a rapidly growing environment
  • Ability to inspire and influence peers and colleagues across the firm
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Working with legal and sales management to accurately deliver proposals and contracts
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organisation
  • Available to travel in the Midwest

Preferred locations are Chicago, Minneapolis or Milwaukee

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Software Solutions selling experience
  • Network of Investment Managers (e.g. asset management firms, investment consulting firms, pension funds, insurance companies)
