The Technical Data Implementation Analyst plays a critical role in transforming raw incoming data into standardized formats required for downstream system consumption. This team ensures that each client’s data is properly configured, normalized, tested, and delivered consistently and accurately. In this role, you will configure database environments, manage source mappings, and oversee client implementation projects—including the setup and mapping of all inbound and outbound files. You will monitor database health and job processing, ensuring optimal performance as the number of clients and feeds continues to grow. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data structures, solving mapping challenges, and managing the technical onboarding lifecycle for new clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Data Normalization & Configuration
- Configure database environments to ingest, normalize, and distribute client data.
- Map data formats from various sources into standardized schemas required for internal or client facing systems.
- Maintain mappings and transformation logic to support reconciliation and other downstream workflows.
- Review and validate normalized data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Implementation Project Management
- Lead the data normalization workstream for new client implementations, including requirements gathering, mapping, configuration, and testing.
- Partner with project managers to execute against project timelines and deliver high-quality onboarding experiences.
- Set up new data sources, file specifications, and internal system profiles as part of onboarding and ongoing maintenance.
- Database Health & Operational Support
- Monitor database performance, job health, and data processing throughput.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to data ingestion, normalization, or distribution.
- Work with Development and Engineering to optimize performance, scale processing, and enhance automation.
- Source Profile & Library Management
- Maintain detailed source profiles to ensure clear documentation of attributes, layouts, and nuances for each data feed.
- Update internal data source libraries as new feeds are onboarded or formats change.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Data Acquisition, Development, Client Services, and Reconciliation teams to ensure data flows smoothly end-to-end.
- Support internal and client testing (UAT and production cutover).
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reliability, and scalability.
Job Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and transform structured financial or operational data.
- Experience with data mapping, file formats (CSV, XML, JSON, SWIFT, FIX, etc.), and schema definitions.
- Comfort working with databases (preferably SQL) and understanding data relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple client implementations and data mapping tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent documentation habits with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills—both technical and business oriented.
- Familiarity with reconciliation workflows or middle/back-office operations is a plus.
- Highly organized, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong ownership mindset; sees tasks through from requirement-gathering to delivery.
- Curious and eager to understand how data flows across systems.
- Calm and methodical when troubleshooting complex data issues.
- Collaborative and comfortable working with technical teams.
