Senior Manager – Compliance Testing & Assurance

Location: EMEA | London | Flexible working available

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced compliance professional to join a high-performing assurance team within a global financial services organisation. This is a senior role offering visibility, influence, and the chance to shape how compliance risks are identified, tested, and managed across a complex international business.

You will lead risk-based compliance reviews, work closely with senior stakeholders, and help drive innovation in assurance through data, technology, and strong governance. What You’ll Do

Lead and deliver compliance testing and assurance reviews across wholesale banking and capital markets activities
Help shape and execute the regional compliance assurance strategy and annual testing plan
Manage and develop a mixed onshore/offshore team, ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous improvement
Partner with business leaders, risk, and compliance colleagues to assess key conduct and regulatory risks
Oversee issue tracking, reporting, and escalation to senior management
Contribute to regulatory interactions, audits, and inspections
Support the use of data analytics and technology to enhance assurance effectiveness

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience in compliance testing, assurance, audit, or regulatory roles within financial services
In-depth knowledge of UK financial services regulation (experience in other jurisdictions is a plus)
Proven ability to assess risk and control frameworks and deliver clear, practical assurance
Experience leading reviews and influencing senior stakeholders
Confident people manager with a collaborative leadership style
