We are thrilled to share a new opportunity for a Project Developer to join our team in London! If you have experience driving the development of renewable energy projects and are eager to help expand our PV and BESS portfolio in the UK, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities- Pro-actively manage BESS/PV+BESS development projects from Greenfield to Brownfield status
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership
- Oversee subcontractors
- Act as first point of contact with the wider project team of specialists, consultants, and legal advisors
- Lead site visits and community consultation events, representing the company
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to ensure appropriate projects’ progression
- Keep fully informed of key market developments and industry news to quickly identify insights for risks and opportunities for the project pipeline
- Experience in Planning: complete planning oversight through pre-application, consenting and post-consent work including frequent attendance at planning committee meetings and leading community forum events. Also involved in early-stage construction including obtaining appropriate licenses and handover with EPC’s and various contractors.
- Experience in Project origination: engagement with network operators, gathering and acting upon grid intelligence to successfully identify capacity and buildable projects including legal and planning due diligence.
- Experience in Legal: landowner and third party engagement and negotiations including securing of Heads of Terms through to Lease/Purchase agreements, easements and wayleaves as well as consent and co-operation agreements. Very knowledgeable on key clauses and non-negotiables to deliver a fundable project.
- A proactive and independent professional who is comfortable making decisions and leading tasks
