About the Role As a Class 1 Driver, you will: Use curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers, to deliver goods to retail stores across the UK.

Complete an average of 1 to 3 delivery drops per shift in line with schedule and route planning.

Ensure all loads are safely and securely fastened using straps, nets, and other securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transit.

Manage tail lift deliveries, ensuring safe and efficient unloading at client sites.

Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.

Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.

Represent the company professionally at every delivery point, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with store teams.

Participate in ongoing training and development, including refresher courses and updates on industry regulations, to keep your skills sharp and compliant.

Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.

Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.

Previous experience delivering to retail or commercial sites (preferred but not essential).

A strong focus on customer service, with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously.

The ability to work to tight schedules while maintaining high safety standards.

A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently when required.

Good geographical knowledge and route planning awareness.
