Job Description HGV Technician Location: Shepton Mallet Excellent Earning Potential: Enjoy a highly competitive rate of £22.75 per hour (£47,320 per annum) based on 40 hours per week. As an HGV Technician, you'll be instrumental in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready. Based in a well-run workshop, you'll deliver high-quality diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs using the latest equipment while working to DVSA and manufacturer standards. Complete all legal and compliance documentation accurately and within required timeframes. Conduct Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) to DVSA standards. Work collaboratively within a professional workshop team to meet operational targets. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, or demonstrable experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar vehicle maintenance role. A valid Class 1 licence is desirable; training and support can be provided to obtain this if required. Shift Hours: Wk1 - Mon-Fri 06:00hrs to 15:00hrs Wk2 - Mon-Fri 14:00hrs to 22:00hrs Saturday working rota - 07:00hrs to 12:00hrs Overtime : Overtime paid at hourly rate x 1.5 = £34.13ph. PLUS: You will receive £10.00 per shift, when on standby rota basis. Training : Monthly Courses for a variety of areas.
