About the Role: As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our customers across the UK. In this position, you will:

  • Take responsibility for collections and deliveries, operating a curtain-sided trailer with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure every load is safely secured, using ratchet straps and carrying out some manual handling to maintain the highest safety standards.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete all delivery documentation accurately and efficiently, keeping the process smooth and streamlined.
  • Maintain regular communication with our transport team, providing updates on progress to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up to date with industry best practices and continuously enhancing your skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
