Excellent Earning Potential: £18.00 per hour, equating to £36,855 per annum, based on 11.25-hour shifts. In addition, you'll benefit from a £2.75 per hour night premium for all hours worked between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs, boosting your earnings further. Overtime is paid at £18.00 per hour, with double-time pay (£36.00 per hour) for shifts worked on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. About the Role As a Class 1 Shunter, you will: Shunt, load, and unload trailers across the depot, ensuring all units are positioned safely and accurately within designated bays and yard locations. Assist with day-to-day yard operations, helping to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised working environment. Conduct daily vehicle safety checks using company-issued technology, ensuring vehicles remain compliant, roadworthy, and ready for operation. Carry out local collections and deliveries when required, delivering a professional and reliable service. Take part in ongoing training and development to maintain industry knowledge, enhance skills, and stay aligned with company procedures. Complete shunter training and operate in line with company standards, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient yard movements at all times. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence. Possess a current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card. however, full training will be provided.
