About the Role
- Assist with planning loads (inbound and outbound) delivery for the operation whilst monitoring KPI for delivery on time, shift revenue and vehicle utilisation.
- Working with the Customer Service Team to ensure deliveries are scheduled as per customer requirements.
- De-briefing drivers.
- Provide holiday cover for Depot Manager and Transport Operators.
- Answering all customer queries via email, phone, and face to face.
- Ensuring that all contracted work is covered in line with customer expectations.
- Communicating collection times and delivery bookings with customers.
- Adherence to policies and procedures within the Business Area.
- Assist Depot Manager with carrying out Risk Assessments.
- General Administrative tasks.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience of working within a similar role in the logistics industry would be advantageous but not necessary.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the highlands area would be beneficial.
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
- Attention to detail.
- Working to deadlines.
- Solution driven and flexible approach to your work.
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
