Job Description: We are currently seeking a temporary Transport Administrator to join our team in Haverfordwest. This role involves supporting transport operations while managing financial, compliance, and administrative processes to ensure efficient service delivery, legal compliance, and accurate accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong customer relationships and support smooth operational delivery.
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules for the West Wales Milk operation.
  • Respond promptly to customer and driver queries via phone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Work closely with transport teams and internal departments to support daily operations.
  • Manage invoicing, supplier payments, reconciliations, purchase orders, and other administration tasks.
  • Maintain transport records, including D600s, compliance documents, and driver files.
  • Monitor driver hours, Working Time Directive compliance, and pre/post-check completion.
  • Support audits, DTAS compliance, and Health & Safety KPI monitoring.
  • Produce and analyse operational reports, KPIs, and performance data.
  • Arrange driver assessments, CPC training, and Driver Development Days.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding dispatch, debriefs, and operational updates.
  • Use internal and external systems, including Manpack, to support performance and compliance.
  • Support depot administration, including time and attendance, documentation, stock, uniforms, and equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, drivers, and colleagues.
  • Track outstanding actions to ensure timely completion and resolution.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and detail-focused approach.
  • Provide holiday and absence cover across the team as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working within the Transport and Logistics industry is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
