We are currently seeking a Transport Administrator to join our team at our Aberdeen, Dyce site. This is a key role within the transport operation, working closely with the Customer Service and Transport teams to support the efficient running of the site and ensure a high standard of service is delivered to our customers in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Customer Service Team to ensure deliveries are scheduled as per customer requirements.
  • Working with the Customer Service Team in the event delays or issues are encountered to ensure good communication with the customer.
  • Booking in customer deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Managing, briefing and de-briefing drivers.
  • Assisting the transport team in dealing with delivery issues and vehicle breakdowns as required.
  • Supporting the team with keeping the Pallet Networks systems up to date.
  • Responding to customer emails and phone queries in a timely manner.
  • Processing customer requests and inputting data on various systems.
  • General administration duties to include processing driver's paperwork.
  • Printing and preparing labels for drivers' pallets and preparing the manifests for onward delivery.
  • Assisting with KPI information analysis.
  • You will be the main point of contact for customers, drivers, and internal teams.

The job can be fast-paced and pressurised, but you will receive the support and training needed to be successful in the role.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role in the logistics industry is desired but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail is crucial and working to deadlines daily.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
