Transport Planner Location: Cullompton Shift: 06:00hrs - 18:00hrs, on a 4on 4off basis Competitive Salary : £30,000 per annum - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of compliance and operational efficiency. At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Transport Planner in our Cullompton depot. This position will be working within the transport team and will involve all aspect of the transport administration processes and coordination of the day to day running of this busy contract. Plan and coordinate vehicle routing to maximise fleet and driver utilisation while meeting customer service standards and controlling costs. Ensure all contracted transport activities are fully covered and delivered in line with customer requirements. Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation across the fleet. Monitor and maintain compliance with all transport legislation, Health & Safety requirements, and company policies. Communicate collection and delivery schedules clearly and accurately to customers. Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally, resolving queries from customers, drivers, and management teams. Conduct regular workplace inspections and ensure any identified actions are completed. Plan and organise daily transport operations, adapting resources to meet fluctuating business demands. Manage transport planning activities for a diverse customer base across the South West. Monitor operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, vehicle utilisation, and revenue performance against targets. Requirements: Previous transport planning or logistics industry experience is desirable. Good understanding of transport legislation, including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations. Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK road network. Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Why Join Gregory Distribution Ltd?
