Transport Operator Location: Bridgwater Shift: Monday - Friday, Nights Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic Transport Operator to join our team. This position will work closely within the transport team and will involve all aspects of transport administration processes, as well as coordinating the day-to-day running of this busy contract. Based in Bridgwater, the role will be responsible for controlling transport operations with nationwide driver coverage. Planning & Organisation: Effectively coordinate transport activities across both peak and off-peak periods to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day transport challenges, providing clear direction and conducting thorough driver debriefs. Support, manage, and debrief drivers to ensure compliance, performance, and continuous improvement. Resource Management: Maximise fleet and resource utilisation through proactive planning and effective allocation. Reporting & Analysis: Produce regular operational reports, identifying trends and making informed recommendations for improvement. Communication: Handle queries professionally across multiple channels, including email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions. Performance Monitoring: Assist in the production and analysis of KPIs and daily operational statistics. Required Experience: Previous Transport operations experience working within the Transport and Logistics industry. Computer literate. MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
