As a HGV Technician you will: Carry out MOT preparation on Group assets. Ensure that all inspection/service/defect paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure that high quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner. Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained. Keep up to date with developments within the industry and understand changes that may impact the effective operation of the workshop. Have an organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail Undertake manufacturer training courses as and when required. Be accountable for your own time, be efficient and proactive when working within the workshop. Requirements: Qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, or proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar vehicle maintenance role. Full UK Driving Licence. A proven background in commercial vehicle repairs. Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness standards. C or C&E driving licence is desirable, but not essential. Competitive Salary: £25ph, working 42.5 hours per week. Shift Hours: 08:00hrs - 17:30hrs, Monday to Friday, but flexibility on hours may be required. Overtime: Overtime rate = £28.98ph.
